Shredders

For those of you that have a smaller garden or yard to maintain, disposing of the unwanted garden waste can be a real pain – especially if your local town council or government does not operate a recycling scheme.  You are often left to lug bags or sacks of waste to the local refuse tip or burn it in your garden.  A better option would be to re-use the waste yourself.  This can be done in many ways and can also help you keep the flowers and plants you want to keep in great condition.

By shredding, chipping or breaking down your garden waste you will be able to turn any green items into mulch or compost.  Or if you definitely don’t want to keep it, shredded items fit better into your refuse bags for storage or disposal.  You can purchase a small chipper shredder unit that will help you with the job of turning small branches, leaves and plants into much smaller pieces.  A chipper unit will also allow you to break down smaller branches or twigs which can be used to decorate your garden as wood chip.

If you have a few trees in your garden, you will be well aware of the need to pick up the fallen leaves in the fall.  If you want to save time and effort a small electric leaf shredder will work wonders on the leaves, turning them from a large pile of unwanted waste to 1 neat bag.  Shredded leaves are also excellent for adding to your compost bin or for making a mulch with.  It’s amazing the difference them being shredded makes to the overall consistency and effectiveness of the compost.

There are many reasons for owning a small chipper shredder. They are possibly one of the most useful pieces of gardening and yard equipment you can buy and are also not too expensive. Some run on electricity too which makes it easier and quicker to use rather than relying on having to use a generator or get petrol for the motor
